New Phone System 2018

The voicemail for the new phone system works a little different than before. It no longer connects automatically when you call. You must wait for a few rings before it will connect.

El correo de voz para el nuevo sistema de teléfono funciona un poco diferente que antes. Ya no se conecta automáticamente cuando llamas. Debe esperar unos timbres antes de que se conecte.

WELCOME

A "Special Welcome" to any guests who may be visiting.  We are happy to have you this weekend!  We are happy to have you this weekend!  Welcome to our parish community! May your visit be blessed!

The Holy Eucharist is exposed for adoration in our church every Wednesday at 7:50 a.m.  Think about spending time in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.  When we come to adoration we enter into peace with Christ.

Every Friday after our Mass, we gather for coffee and donuts in the Parish Center.  Please join us!

Website Sponsorships Available!

  • In the weeks ahead, our parish representative from Solutio, Inc., will be setting up the advertising for our website for the year.
  • Please consider participating in this effort since the revenue from the ads is what makes the website possible at no cost to the parish.
  • It’s a great way to get your name in front of the families in the parish.  Advertisements may be purchased for a business, family memorial, or you can sponsor an ad supporting Catholic Charities, Knights of Columbus, Vocations, etc.
  • Please give these ideas some thought. We need and appreciate your help!  If you are interested or just curious as to prices and want more information, please contact 313.246.9129 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Share the joy of the Catholic faith and Life! If you or someone you know, your spouse, a neighbor, or a friend are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, the St. Alfred community welcomes you to come to the R.C.I.A. program.

Do you have questions, Who is Jesus? What is prayer? Is the Word of God (scripture) meaningful for my life? What is a community of faith? Where is God in my life’s journey? The RCIA program offers a wonderful opportunity to address such questions and to “Come and See” who we are as a faith community. At the Easter Vigil we joyously celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation with the RCIA participants.

For more information please contact Kathy Operhall, Director of Religious Education at 313-291-6464 x105. We will be delighted to hear form you.
